Design
Your oak frame will be individually designed, giving you a stunning space that meets your specific needs, with all the unique characteristics that only an oak framed structure can give.
Should you choose us to design and make your oak frame, we’ll work closely with you or your architect to produce frame drawings and detailed CAD representations.
It’s our combination of superior craftsmanship and creativity that ensures your oak frame is as beautiful as it is practical.
Creation
Our highly skilled carpenters have many years’ oak framing experience. So you can be confident your oak frame is being made by true craftsmen.
All our oak structures are handcrafted the traditional way, using pegged mortice and tenon jointing techniques. It’s the specialist skills and knowledge of our talented oak framers that bring to life your beautifully crafted oak frame. Your frame will then be raised by the same carpenters who made it.
Glazing
All our glazed structures are made from air-dried, seasoned oak and are direct glazed. Although a more time-consuming and complex process (due to creating an accurate shoulder and diminishing shoulder), we believe the rebated, direct glazing method is more aesthetically appealing, as it doesn’t cover the beauty of the exterior frame and hand-drawn pegs.
Whether your frame is made from green oak or seasoned oak, all the oak used within our structures is planed to give a beautiful, smooth finish.
Project Management
We can supply and erect your oak frame, or we can project manage your whole build.
Our 20 years’ industry experience means we’ve built solid relationships with other skilled trades. So should you wish us to handle your entire project, we can provide and manage the other trades you’ll need for your building or extension — from groundworkers and bricklayers to roofers and plasterers.
